Mr. Ahmad Bin Mohammad Al-Sari is a Managing and Executive Partner at Malaz Group. He is co-founder of Malaz Group. Mr. Al Sari is also a Managing and Executive Partner at Malaz Capital, a firm co-founded by him. He is Co-Founder of Al-Khaleej Computers and Electronic Systems Co. Ltd. Mr. Al-Sari’s career spans over 40 years.

In 1979, he co-founded the Al-Khaleej/Al-Falak Group, which Mr. Al-Sari helped grow into one of the leading information technology enterprises in the Arabian Gulf Region while serving as the President of Al-Khaleej Computers & Electronics Systems from 1980 to 2000. He started his career in 1970 as a Computer Programmer at the Information Technology Center of King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals and became its Director. As Director of the pioneering computing facility in Saudi Arabia his responsibility included the propagation of information technology in all government organizations. Mr. Al-Sari is a board member of SALAMA. He is a Board Member of the Chief Executives Organization (CEO) and the designated Area Vice President for the Middle East and Africa. Mr. Al-Sari is a Board Member of several companies including Al Falak Electronic Equipment & Supplies Company; Al-Khaleej Training & Education Company; and Medical Care & Sciences Company. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Centennial Fund. Mr. Al-Sari serves as the Chairman of the Board of Malaz Technology & Communication Company as well as Al-Wadi Medical Investments Co. in Yemen. He served as the Board Member of Banque Saudi Fransi from 1997 to 2003. Mr. Al-Sari serves as a Member of the Board of the Gulf Venture Capital Association. He also Chaired it’’s first annual conference which was scheduled on November 15, 2005. Mr. Al-Sari is a TechWadi100 Charter Mentor. 

He earned a B. Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1970 with a number of executive programs including the Presidents Seminar at the Harvard Business School.

 

Dr. Jazzar left the Royal Saudi Air Force in 1993 as a Colonel to become a partner and the CEO of International Systems Engineering Ltd (ISE). ISE is a company formed in partnership with the Boeing Company to develop and maintain strategic software such as command and control and AWACS. 

In 2001 he sold his shares and created Malaz Group as an investment company with focus on the ICT sector. As a serial entrepreneur, he was a founder and investor in many regional and international companies. This included CompuMe the first Mega store in MENA, CIT a Canadian software services company with back offices in Cairo, and Softnet one of the early ERP implementation companies in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Jazzar was an active participant in developing the Knowledge eco system in KSA through his efforts with many NGOs. He served as the chairman of the Saudi computer society, a member of the board directors of Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Chairman of Riyadh Economic Forum.

In addition to his seats on the board of Directors of many public and private companies, Dr. Jazzar is currently a Member of the Board of Directors of the following NGOs that promote investments, economic growth, and entrepreneurship:

  • Centennial Fund.
  • National Industrial Clusters Development program.
  • Economic Cities Authority

Dr. Jazzar holds a PhD in Computer Science from USC in USA, and BSC in Computer Engineering from Essex University in UK.

 

Mr. Bandar Has more than 19 years of professional experience, both in operational and advisory roles. Over the years gained a wealth of knowledge in the areas of Strategy formulation & execution, Business Development, Sales & Marketing, Mediation & board facilitation, and Executive General Management (P&L roles).

Engaged in advisory role for major investors and private equity advisory and assisted business owners and senior executives on many transactions across a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, media, technology (TMT), business services, automotive, Defense and Security, Education & Training, as well as managing major consultancy assignment for various public sector organizations. He has extensive experience within highly engineered ecosystems, which require deep understanding of critical business drivers at multiple levels and in various industries; and multi-cultural environments. Liaison experience working and managing projects with world-top management consulting firms, auditors, financial consultants, and Investment banks.
